Lisa crumling, Founder, partner

Lisa Crumling launched her career in the kitchen and bath industry in 2004, bringing with her a background in marketing and human resources—but no formal design experience. What began as a small retail store, offering pre-made granite countertops, candles, and home décor, quickly evolved into a full-service kitchen and bath showroom as client demand grew.

Inspired by a family of entrepreneurs and fueled by a passion for both business and creativity, Lisa balanced the early years of Simply Kitchens and Baths while working as a part-time HR consultant and raising her two children as a stay-at-home mom.

For Lisa, the most rewarding part of the job is the people. She loves bringing her clients’ visions to life and takes pride in building long-lasting relationships rooted in trust and collaboration. “My dad once told me I was ‘too nice’ for this competitive industry,” she says. “Twenty years later, I’m proud to have proven him wrong—with a portfolio full of beautiful spaces and a long list of happy clients.”

Throughout the years, Simply Kitchens and Baths has not only weathered economic ups and downs—including a recession and a pandemic—but thrived by staying flexible and attentive to clients’ evolving needs. Lisa’s design philosophy is centered on listening: asking thoughtful questions, taking careful notes, and understanding each client’s lifestyle and dreams to create spaces that are both functional and personal.

Her commitment to flexibility, openness, and client-first design has been the foundation of the firm’s reputation for excellence. The 20-year milestone is especially meaningful to Lisa—not just as a business owner, but as a mom. She proudly raised two children while growing Simply Kitchens and Baths: her daughter, now a first-grade teacher and newlywed, and her son, a sales representative based in Jacksonville. Both grew up witnessing firsthand the value of dedication and hard work.

I’m excited to share a little about my journey and what fuels my love for design.

My passion for design began in my own home — a century-old house that my family and I renovated to better suit our lifestyle. It was through that hands-on experience that I discovered the joy of transforming spaces, and I knew then that interior design was the path for me.

My first professional role in the kitchen and bath industry deepened that passion, as I quickly fell in love with the perfect blend of technical precision and creative problem-solving that each project requires.

One of my favorite projects to date was a complete first-floor renovation where we reimagined the entire layout, relocating the kitchen to the front of the home and designing the space around a striking bright yellow European stove — a true showpiece and the heart of the design.

When it comes to design, I believe every space should reflect both the client’s lifestyle and the home’s architecture. While we stay current with trends for function and convenience, the foundation of every project is always rooted in what works best for each individual home and family.

Simply Kitchens and Baths is proud to be a woman-owned business built on honesty, integrity, and referrals from happy clients. For the past 20 years, those values have shaped both our reputation and our relationships — and I’m honored to be part of that story.

I joined Simply Kitchens and Baths in 2023, bringing with me a passion for design and creativity that’s been part of my story for years. Before stepping into the world of kitchen and bath design, I spent over a decade building my own company — Pello Floor Pillows — from the ground up, creating stylish, functional pieces for the home. Running a small business sharpened my eye for design and taught me the importance of thoughtful presentation, problem-solving, and working closely with people to bring ideas to life.

One of my favorite roles here at Simply Kitchens and Baths is working one-on-one with our clients to help them select the perfect materials and finishes for their spaces. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of the process — from the first conversation to the final reveal — and to know I’ve played a role in helping create a home they truly love. I also enjoy designing our storefront windows, a creative outlet that feels like second nature thanks to the hands-on experience I gained as a business owner, where visual storytelling and thoughtful presentation were at the heart of everything I did.

My entrepreneurial background taught me the value of listening, adaptability, and approaching every project with both heart and attention to detail. Whether I’m helping shape a space or simply offering guidance along the way, I’m committed to making sure every client feels heard, supported, and excited about the transformation ahead.
